We don't decide what your adventure should be. You tell us. We build everything around it.

II — THE CONCEPT

Your expedition, on paper

A week after we talk, you receive your Forged Concept — the whole thing, designed and written for you. It reads less like a quote and more like the opening of your own film.

We go first

Before you arrive, we've already been. Routes walked, accommodation checked, training spots found, transport tested, weather plans made, local contacts met, emergency procedures in place.

You arrive into somewhere that's already been prepared for you. That's the difference between a trip and an expedition.

V — THE EXPEDITION

We're with you

Not stood on the sidelines with a clipboard. Training with you, travelling with you, eating with you, doing the hard bits with you — and there when it gets difficult. That's what a father and son who've rebuilt themselves together bring.

You wake up and your kit's ready. Breakfast's sorted. The weather's been checked. The route's planned. Transport's waiting. You never once wonder what happens next.

Each person gets their own twelve weeks of preparation. Where children come, parents stay responsible for them throughout, and challenges are chosen to suit the youngest.

Ollie and Darren

Ollie prepares your body and makes your film. Darren spent thirty years running building sites — logistics, contractors, contingencies, getting real things done in the real world. Together, we rebuilt ourselves this year, starting with him at 61.

XI — STRAIGHT TALK

What we are, and aren't

We're the architects, not the travel agent. Flights, accommodation and specialist guides are booked through licensed operators or directly by you, and set out clearly in your proposal.

We bring in experts. Anything technical — mountains, water, remote terrain — is led by properly qualified professionals. We coordinate them rather than pretend to be them.

Safety comes first. Full insurance for the expedition, a medical clearance before preparation begins, and a mission chosen to suit your health and experience.

Luxury isn't the point. It can be part of it. The product is meaning, challenge and a story worth having.

The Forged fee covers the design, the preparation, the groundwork, both of us throughout, the film and the archive. Travel, accommodation, guides and specialists are passed through at cost and shown line by line. Every engagement is individually scoped.
